“Get wisdom; at the cost of all you have, get understanding. Forsake her not, and she will preserve you; love her, and she will safeguard you….” (Proverbs 4:7-8)
MISSION STATEMENT
The Mother Rose Colloquia is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide college-level courses primarily to contemplative but also active religious communities.
Our purpose is to come to these communities around the United States and offer tailored lectures and classes in the Humanities – history, literature, philosophy and theology. These courses are taught by Catholic professors who recognize and respect the particular charism of contemplative religious who live their life in perpetual prayer separate from the world.
The organization takes its name from the founders’ friendship with the late Mother Rose of the Carmelite Monastery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
